CSS Managing Partner Mr. Suresh Chandran Joins IP & Technology Commercialization Panel at REEN 2025

We are pleased to share that Mr. Suresh Chandran, Managing Partner at CSS, participated as a distinguished panelist in the Intellectual Property and Technology Commercialization discussion at the REEN Conference, held from January 9th to 11th, 2025.

The REEN (Research in Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Networks) Conference has established itself as a pivotal international platform dedicated to the dynamic and evolving domain of entrepreneurship. With growing global interest from both policymakers and academic communities, entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized for its transformative potential—driving innovation, job creation, income generation, and economic development.

This year's conference focused on the intricate dynamics of entrepreneurial ecosystems, highlighting how ecosystems nurture high-quality entrepreneurship. These systems are enriched by diverse stakeholders, including entrepreneurial universities, multinational and domestic enterprises, incubators, accelerators, and co-working spaces. Together, they create fertile ground for new ventures to take root and flourish.

However, the path of entrepreneurship is not without challenges. The REEN Conference brought these to the forefront, especially emphasizing the varying trajectories of returnee entrepreneurs versus domestic entrepreneurs. The conference explored how individual experiences, educational backgrounds, and ecosystem strength influence startup success, performance, and sustainability across different regions and timelines.

In recognition of the need for cross-disciplinary collaboration and practical insights, the conference was structured around two key platforms:

Start-up Platform – Designed for practitioners, innovators, and entrepreneurs to share real-world experiences, challenges, and solutions.

Researchers’ Platform – Geared toward academics and researchers delving into the theoretical and empirical dimensions of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Mr. Chandran’s participation in the Intellectual Property and Technology Commercialization panel added valuable insights into how startups and researchers can strategically leverage IP rights and innovation for commercial success, thereby bridging the gap between research outcomes and real-world applications.

At CSS, we are proud to support thought leadership and contribute to dialogues that strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems and empower the next generation of innovators.
